The History Press has started a new course in the world of barter. We are producing, set for completion in 2011, an all encompassing market place for self-sufficient living. The market will allow small businesses to create their own online market under the umbrella of the History Store. TimesandMeasures will feature similar interactivity as FaceBook and eBay. The market place will give you the power to participate in a larger market arena for minimal fees in a specialty environment.

The History Press has been developing numerous collaborative archives and networks in an attempt to bring a forgotten history to the surface. The endeavor began with OhioCivilWar.org, created by Brett J Mitchell. OhioCivilWar.org has currently recorded 220,000 soldiers who fought during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Likewise, over 8000 documents have come to the surface thanks to the collaborative efforts of over 1500 members.
